The World's Most Tweeted Brands is an experiment created by JWT to track twitter popularity for the 100 most valuable global brands and the top 50 Brazilian Brands, according to the 2012 BrandZ report.
Tracking down 150 brands on Twitter in real time isn't an easy task and we are continually refining our platform engine to improve accuracy.

For this first experiment we wanted to select a few representative brands to allow comparison between value and social buzz. Top 100 BrandZ report seemed the perfect reference, and since we created this at JWT Brazil we included the top 50 Brazilian also from BrandZ. If you are interested in including a specific brand or having your own version of the World's Most tweeted brands please let us know.
We track mentions for the 150 brands in the last 24 hours on Twitter.
Today we are only displaying metrics for the last 24 hours except for the rank graph that shows a brand rank variation over time. In a near future we plan to offer premium access for additional information, including historical data. If you are interested please let us know.
Not all tweets have location data available. However about 30% of all tweets have some sort of information that allows us to define a user location. That are 2 main ways to get this information: user geo-located tweets (less than 1% of all tweets) and free-form location declared in user profile. The World Map vision shows the share of tweets for each country considering only the total of tweets with location data.
You can find a link to the list view on the home screen menu (bottom section). Once on the list view you will be able to sort brands according to different criteria: alphabetical order, World's Most tweeted brands rank, total # of tweets in the last 24 hours, total # countries with mentions.
The same 150 brands for all tweets from Brazil.
BrandZ rank is displayed in different areas of the site: at the home page - mouse over a brand, at the list view - mouse over the brand rank and at the brand page (world map view).
Yes, at the bottom section it is possible to filter the dashboard by brand segment. This view only displays segments with at list 2 brands.
